I think if people were happy Ardley got sacked then it would be due to their love of Notts and wanting to get up, no indication of their opinion of Ardley who by all accounts is a good man. Still I love Notts not Ardley so......

Excellent posts from jampie and madmagpie, you both make very thought provoking arguments.

All I can is Ardley is very very very lucky this is all BCD.

We should make the play offs still but would you back him to win them ? I wouldnt.

He has 3 days to get himself another full back for the weekend though so there is hope yet.

I think we are stuck with him for the season which means another year in the NL and our parachute payments gone.

MDS, I've realised it a long time ago, it's impossible not to when the 7th or 8th different person says exactly the same thing. My problem it's not just coming from one source, and admittedly I almost always reply and answer questions directed my way. My bad.

Therefore, one more olive branch for the greater good of the board#mission

Elite, if you wish to carry on all Non-Notts stuff and want to carry arguing about nothing like we have been let's do it in private.

Astonishing I only discovered that NCM had the private message feature recently when SwalePie dropped me a message. This way we can carry it on if you so wish and nobody else will have to suffer. What's not to like about that suggestion?

    Another simple solution offered up.

Keeping all fingers crossed this offer won't be rejected.

Agreed, it should always be about that CF.

Managers come and go, it's hard to attached to any as they disappear within a year or so. It's all about Notts.

Last night's disgraceful and unacceptable performance should have the owners talking or perhaps preparing.

My opinion is that he should get the rest of this season, and then if we are not promoted he should go.

I have sat on the fence for a while now, but I am starting to believe that he is not the man to get us promoted, and I do not blame him for us getting relegated because the damage was already done when he arrived.

No rejoicing from me neither. I want every Notts manager to succeed, if they win, so do we. Unfortunately I have never been convinced that Ardley, as nice a bloke as he is, is the man who will bring us success.

Just some practical advice for when the new manager arrives. Get rid of Doyle, Reeves,Effiong, Sam, Barnett, Richardson, Chickeson and Rodrigues.. Plus any other piece of crap Ardley has signed..

I'm really happy to eat humble pie though and present match of the day in my underwear if Ardley can turn this around and get us up, as gump says we all win together. At least reading the paper Ardley has acknowledged they all need to be doing alot better so let's hope last night was a low point.

I wouldnt count on it. He has been saying pretty much the same for weeks..He needs to be pro-active and get rid of the players who continually fail week after week. Starting with both Doyle and Reeves.
