A lot of people entertain killing themselves. Some actually carry it through. It’s wrong to judge someone as to whether they meant it or not. You don’t know. I worked with a guy who showed no sign of any problems, beautiful wife, two lovely kids. Fitness fanatic. He went into the woods and hung himself on a tree. My first wife attempted suicide three times (cut wrists, overdose etc) she came through that period. I have had my moments of giving up on life. I no longer judge. You can’t tell what is going on in someone’s mind. Perfectly happy/want to die. Really sad/ no intention. All we can do is be there for people. I’m not saying this to have a go about anyone on here or what they think. I’m just saying it as it is.

To me he's nothing but a subtle version of a fake celebrity. He just does the controversial to raise his own stock. No different to the likes of Jordan. Without a doubt, he looked at the Meghan issue and thought...how can I make this about me and he absolutely succeeded. Out of work currently but his celebrity stock couldn't be higher.

He is known as an absolute vile man and shouldn't have a place in British media. He had a clear role in the phone hacking scandal and was famed for his part in weaponising the tabloids to the evil, powerful industry it is today. He and Jeremy Clarkson had a feud, he ordered the published pictures of his 10 year old daughter in a bikini; to which Clarkson rightly gave him a good hiding for.

The sooner this country casts this sordid little man out of celebrity status the better.

I've just logged in to register my general disinterest in the man with regards to whatever this topic is about. I'm so offended I haven't even bothered opening this thread. Please continue as though I was never here........ pah!

Got to say Boingy - 100% agree with you and the experiences you mention which I too have seen this first hand.

Some people make stupid comments such as why would he/she want to end their life when they are wealthy etc etc. Mental illness does not get the recognition it should and you never know what's going on in someone's mind. I have had my moments within the last year too with my illness.

This won't come as a shock to anyone, but I can't stand the guy.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but he tries to force his on people. Every interview he does is about him, not the other person's views. Add into it the phone hacking scandal and putting British troops lives in danger with fake photographs - he is a complete narcissist.

Good riddance. Hopefully we never see him in the media again.

He’ll be back bigger and better paid than before.

Don’t like him either as not my cup of tea but he’s entitled to his views on that interview. I agree though he speaks over people whose view does not meet his own especially women. I also feel he’s up his own backside - bit like Gordon Ramsey!

I agree Al, I find him an odious, self seeking narcissist, but he does have a right to air his opinion and of course to be called out for it.

A bit like Boris Johnson’s journalist career? 😎
