Funnily enough, I would have asked them to do that 23 games ago! I didn't watch it, but from reading the comments on here it seems something like the unimpressive 0-1 victory a few of us predicted. Hopefully it becomes the end of the slump and the start of a long winning run, rather than simply papering over the cracks.

Next stop Boreham Wood on Tuesday, who have just kicked off at home to Torquay.

Five clean sheets on the bounce on the road.

Only once previously achieved by Notts and that was under Steve Cotterill in his first 5 games away from home....

    2009/10
    Sat 6 Mar accrington stanley W 3-0 (Davies 29, Hughes 48, Rodgers 55)
    Sat 20 Mar crewe alexandra W 1-0 (Edwards 51)
    Tue 23 Mar bradford city D 0-0
    Mon 05 Apr shrewsbury town W 1-0 (Davies 36)
    Sat 10 Apr northampton town W 1-0 (Davies 47)

The run came to an end at Port Vale, 20 mins into the game - lost 2-1. Cotterill's only defeat.

Thought we controlled the game pretty well and especially second half and they certainly all put a shift in. Fair play to Ardley going direct as nothing else would work with current confidence. JOB seems full of running at the mo, been really impressed by him of late. They’ll be a lot tougher tests obviously to come, looking forward to seeing Knight, hopefully he can make a bit of a difference.

Credit where credit is due. Clean sheet and 3 points away from home is highly creditable given the negativity surrounding the club perpetuated by the likes of me of late. Keep winning Notts please as nothing beats that feeling. Well done to all concerned down at Wealdstone this afternoon.
