We’re stuck with Joe Lewis , someone thought it was a good idea to give him a 5....yes 5 year deal in 2019 so at the end of this season he still has 3 years left on his deal.

To be fair he’s a decent keeper at this level but the captaincy needs to be taken off him.

I reckon that will be one of the first things a new manager will sort out. Possibly one of the new players who come in will be made captain, as that's slightly less embarrasing for Joe than effectively being stripped off it and it being handed to an existing player. There'll be such a huge turnover of players in the summer I suspect whoever's in charge will specifically bring in someone who's captain material.

If I remember correctly the resolution to this conundrum is to make Joe Lewis the club captain but an outfield player the match captain. Seem to remember this solution from many years back.

    Yep that would work.

Joe is an excellent ambassador for the club. Let him be the face off the park & get some absolute cuunt to run the show on it.

    Job done...

Aye, it’s high time we had one or two maniacs in the side , too many soft fannies at the moment.

And maybe a new goalie while they’re at it!

It will be interesting to see how Joe Lewis adapts having a new manager overseeing everything he does. One thing is for certain, if he makes mistakes like he has been making at points this season then he will be more than likely dropped.
You never know....the new manager might have a better keeper sourced to come into the club and Lewis will just be his competition.

I'd be happy to have him here for the rest of his contract but he's not a captain. Not with that defence. We need some experienced war criminal that's never heard of Scottish football before.
