Thread: The Corona Virus

We mostly all live on a different planet to these people sinkov.

82 year old bloke two streets away sadly passed yesterday. The poor chap has been struggling with lung cancer and emphysema for the last couple of years.

I don't need to tell you what the "cause of death" is - do I?

Certainly no need because this is happening all over the country.
I said a year ago that something strange was afoot with this whole worldwide affair. I still haven't figured out exactly what, nor can I work out just what we 'lay people' can do about it.
We are in the hands of politicians who always look after their own interests no matter what. They are being advised by scientists who will always pursue their individual investigations and hope to achieve their own ends. Meanwhile, we mere mortals are being controlled and coerced into doing what 'they' say and, if we even come close to stepping out of line, some are being over-policed and punished and yet I get the impression that nobody, I repeat nobody, really knows what the hell is going on.

    Meanwhile ---life goes on!

We're living in a 'state of emergency', the government has the power to do exactly as it pleases, no checks or balances, no controls. The 'Covid emergency' is over, we're rapidly returning to normal, there is no 'emergency' any more, but in the next couple of weeks the Government will ask for a six month extension of it's 'emergency powers' and it will get that extension. HM Opposition, Starmer's Labour Party, will vote with the government to allow them to do as they please for another six months.

Why any Opposition Party would acquiesce in this, I have no idea, isn't it the Opposition's job to scrutinise government proposals after all, but there you go. Like Sub, I have no idea what's going on either.

Of course we all have opinions, ''what's it all about Alfi?'' I can view life as we are all on a ladder ,yet many/all, are on different rungs! What one can see from the bottom will be different than someone on the topmost rung. That is their 'reality'. So what then is the reality? Life can be as a roller coaster, some have felt suffering and hardship ,others less. Some have felt deeply the staggering highs and lows ,yet others not. So what is the reality?

Does that person that has felt suffering and hardship, ask of himself, why me? Does he then start to find deeper answers to life? Would he ask those basic questions ? Would he seek a deeper meaning to life? Control ,who is in control? No, no who is really in control? I will not add more because with these ideas, it has opened the mind . Feel free to continue .Do you think big business, politicians are in control?
    ....Shabat Shalom!

(It means “have a peaceful Sabbath”. The Sabbath in Judaism, which falls on Saturdays, is a day of genuine rest and prayer, involving no work or business transactions.) The Sabbath begins at nightfall on Friday and lasts until nightfall on Saturday. In practical terms the Sabbath starts a few minutes before sunset on Friday and runs until an hour after sunset on Saturday, so it lasts about 25 hours.

You can ask all the questions you want, however, from my experience, the majority of those friends who have been seeking the meaning of life have lost themselves in the process, are still seeking and missing out on all that life has to offer, whether that be good or bad.
Mind you, their constant endeavours save my having to worry about anything because, only too readily, they will pass on their findings -----when they find them!

I heard from my "inside source" today from Turf Moor, if we want to watch the Clarets "Live", it looks increasingly likely we will need a vax certificate to gain entry into all grounds.

That will be me done then.

Yes sub, life is a mystery. But some of those friends must have taken the wrong path, how could they loose themselves? There must be some part of the mind that tells you to listen to logic and reason ,and that those answers, from deep questioning can never be found, because they are beyond the mind. Yet would you listen or believe in their constant endeavours, I am sure you would not, as you look upon them as having lost their way. Then which path have they taken? Religion? Religions are full of dogma!
From time to time, during one crisis or another, various religious leaders come on one platform and vow to take a united stand and work amicably. By this show the public gets befooled. Their words sound good but ultimately the religions are a very dangerous rallying point for human society.
For example, some Muslims term Jews as pigs, and vice versa. The more fanatic Christians think all non-Christians are heretics and vile - fit for hell fire. Every religion is antagonistic towards the other religions. They each preach unity within their own religion - and hatred without. In day to day living, blind adherents of a particular religion harbour enmity towards the followers of other religions.

If we do not find a meaning, then life's purpose can not be found? Then as life passes by, our minds become weaker and then would it be true that at that stage to say, it's almost impossible to ever find it and then, what would I care ? If we could conclude that God does not exist ,then nothing more to add. But if we did infer that 'something' call it what you will does exist. Then ask ''why did (lets just call it God ,for simplicity), 'Why did God create this Universe?' Sorry to go deep into things but we are in some interesting times. The destruction of Capitalism for starters! So ''We are in the hands of politicians'' yes, but not really. Upstairs is!

can't be right BT....this Vax (in name only) does nothing but boost the immune system, and just like any bug, (this is being prolonged) can still catch it and shed it, as it made, so they tell us...to build a quick immune response in those with weakened/compomised immune systems - that is it....So - for the overwhelming majority, what difference not having it, Simple - there isn't any...and anyway, how could they make Rules based on an unlicensed experiment with effects (admitted by pharmas) as yet unknown...thats been forced through under emergency powers. They can't - and if they try it....it unjust - and we know where that ends up - so damn the slopsucking Nazis.

Me too BT, I'll likely as not have a Vax Certificate, but any club that demands I produce it before letting me in, won't be getting any of my money.
