Bears are awesome creatures, somewhat dangerous, though! On holiday in Canada some years ago, my wife and I were photographing a glacier, standing on top of a small bank and out of the bushes below strolled a grizzly bear. It just stayed at the foot of the bank for a while munching dandelions; when it started up the bank we went back to our car sharpish! It was amazing, though, to be able to watch such an animal in the wild, a really beautiful animal. It’s claws were like knives, I think that it would shred a human rather quickly. The trouble is that humans are forever encroaching on the bears habitat. We were so lucky to see that bear; it is quite rare to see a grizzly close up, plenty of black bears about but grizzlies, not so.

As for animals that I don’t care for, cats. Big cats in safari parks are wonderful to observe but domestic cats, not for me, wretched creatures always want to sink their claws into you. Also, I object to other people’s animals wandering through, and crapping in, my garden. If you can’t control your pets, don’t have them. That’s my rant!
