It did me too. I didn't go to the Newcastle game, I recall hearing the news through the BBC teleprinter and it spoilt a lovely sunny day in our back garden. True, Luton had fallen out of the league system completely not that long ago
........and 2 days later we lost at home to Newcastle 1-0 which at the time made me confident that the title would fall from our grasp
