Thread: Kicking Off in Bristol

  1. #11
I am boiling at this and so are true bristolians (I often have worked and occasionally still do work there), the people doing this are stupid ****agers latching onto some rebellious cause without any real idea of the huge implications. Those smashing the glass looked about 16 and could be knocked down with a breath - Bristol has always been one of those cities full of lefty right-on types smoking weed & contributing f'all to society.

Boris should get his water cannons back, then use them.

Flog em, hang em, burn em. You lot would have loved the middle ages.🤣

Seriously though we have to watch that our liberty isn't being taken off us little by little. First we are locked in our house's then the police are being given more power to enforce it.

The last sentence I posted on FB and they said that it contravened their rules and didn't allow it.
Another piece of freedom and speech taken away.
Still I wouldn't worry about it too much, just make sure old Fred has his mask on when he goes shopping.

I think those protesters causing huge damage to police vans and buildings deserve a severe punishment. What a way to ruin for what was initially a peaceful protest. I think when you start fires, it’s not just silly but it has the potential for someone getting killed. Not only are the police impacted, you then bring in the Firemen and A&E - what a bunch of selfish anarchists.

Takeaway our ability to protest unfortunately gives the green light to cause riots. I think the general mood of these youngsters is that they’ve had enough (not having enough life experience). What must be going through their heads with the affects of this pandemic. Suicides are up. It’s the worst time ever for the younger population, we really need to resolve these issues.

I'm sorry, but nothing justifies those appalling scenes last night. Don't anybody try and make excuses for it. End of!

I will add I don't condone those disgraceful scenes at all.
But I have always thought and stated that there is more to this than meets the eye. The government, and not just our's have 90% of the population exactly where they want them, unable to meet and being monitored by social media.
It will be interesting to see what happens when everyone is vaccinated.

'55, I fully understand and accept your views as there are quite a few who share your sentiments. What I would like to know is what you think is behind it all? I will be interested in what you say.

So true 55. I’m not going to make a knee jerk reaction to what’s going on last night. Phil has alluded to what is going on but many will never see the reality of what is actually going on. It’s sinister, if you ask me. The media outlets will all tell you one thing that they want you to believe.
