The way we are heading, when restrictions are being drastically reduced, there is still gonna be a majority of people who have not had their second dose, and the majority of working age people who have not even had the first dose. Yes, the latter are the people who have been the least at risk from serious illness and death, but there have been Covid deaths in all age groups, and Long Covid might become a problem for far too many people if this damn virus finds the wrong people.

Trying to eradicate the virus is the best way to stop a mutation becoming dangerous enough while the vaccination process is completed.
