I still don't believe a word of what he says about interviewing other candidates.

The science of slicing a buttery still sounds like something that will have me losing fingers. Can it be done?!! While still maintaining the integrity of the buttery?!?! What ****ing mad genius is this?

You get rolls, softies and baps.

Bacon is best in a bap but in a softie would be acceptable.

The use of the word rowie is acceptable and increased in use with the influx of non Aberdonians into the city.

    But B........

    Never never never
    100% this.

The other one that boils my piss these days is "chippy" ... it's a chipper!

Absolutely. Its always been a roll, is a roll now and always will be a roll. Buttery and rowie are interloper posh words. Plus its supper ye have evening time, nae dinner. And its the icer when the van comes round.

The more cultured among us know that it is in fact a buttery and definitely a chipper.

Phew ,just scraped in then !!

I'm a Fifer by birth. We moved to Aberdeen when I was eight. My Mother was a gym teacher , ansd taught at Tory first of all.

As I wasnt placed in a school for a few weeks , I was dragged along to 8 hrs a day of gym . Local kids kindly took the time to lernt me tae spek proapar . I was lightheartedly quizzed as to whetehr I was a loon or a quine etc. Fast learning process ( like ).

But form my earliest days i'm pretty sure they told me it was a rowie.............. And these would have been wee loons and quines fed frrom Aitkens ??

Where they just using " rowie" since I was a foreigner , and thats what incomers should be calling it ???

Fair play to Cormack and the team for the answers.
Most of what I had on my mind with Glass and Brown coming in was answered.
A fair chunk of what had been bugging me about all this dealing was Shay's departure, so glad he has had his say on record now as well.

I think we will now see a 'charm offensive' from Brown. (assuming he has charm and won't be drunk in a ditch down the West End somewhere)

...and its a Buttery - got that from my Gran, she called it a buttery since nine-**** oatcake

ffs, why is t-e-e-n blanked out?!
