They should however, be being advised far better, not so much by agents (who are after only one thing) but family. Parents should be able to see the risk involved. As has been said, the amount of kids who have been a success compared to those who have done the square root of f*ck all is there for all to see.
Agree with the above,nothing wrong if they are going to the bright lights to join a first team squad but its very risky going through the academy system where only around 1 or 2 in hundred make it into the first team.
