I’m wondering if we’ll see an option of a dual season ticket for Fitba and Gowf

A football club is generally a labor of love and I would imagine he’ll see peanuts if any profit anytime soon. So if he’s not doing other stuff to bring in cash then he’d just be pumping his own personal wealth into the club? If the golf is a success then maybe we’ll see some of it invested back into the team/club?

You really don't think he is going to give up all his other business interests to pump all his wealth into united do you?

Can't see this as being anything but positive news for us. He's now going to have twice as many business interests in this country than previously. Makes me feel a bit more confident about his long term commitment to us rather than being someone who fancies owning a football team as a toy for a few years.

Not sure how the venture will go for him however. He really will have to create something extraordinary for it to be a success. They are certainly talking the talk but I've seen it all before with regards 'pie in the sky' golf developments. Time will tell.

They lose £1M a year. Mental. Absolutely mental. It takes something very, very special to be a success these days. To his advantage is the fact St. Andrews is a golfing town so will always attracts visiting golfers however Feddinch is already a failed business venture.& The Dukes right next door promised everything but hasn't lived up to expectation & struggles so who knows how this will go. No c*nt wants to visit beyond Aberdeen though, so Trump International was always going to struggle.

Does Turnberry run at a loss too?.I was told that it was a vanity thing between Trump and whoever owns the Old Course Hotel now. They knew they would not make any money but they wanted it for prestige alone.

Yeah, Turnberry has lost every year he's owned it. Over £2M this year. Compare that to the Links Trust at St. Andrews who rake in a £10M profit every year. Its nuts. The Old Course Hotel is owned by American company Kohler, nothing to do with the Links whatsoever so wouldn't surprise me about the vanity thing tbh.

My relative says the owner is a multi millionaire and is not concerned about the losses,he was over the moon that he outbid Trump to get it.
