This currently stands at a 3-0 loss to Barrow at home who went onto become champions.

    However we have made a new signing so this can give us some hope we will be able to get the ball forward more. Also this is Notts so anything can happen. Also we are playing one of the better teams in this league and we usually do well against the better sides.

    I never want to predict a defeat and hope I'm wrong, but like others have said there really needs to be a massive shift in performance and attitude to avoid such a scenario.

    Therefore;

    Wrexham 2-1 Notts County

    Rodrigues
    I actually think we will get a reaction in this game. When its backs to the wall a bit ( and it is ) then that always drags a bit more out of people.

    Notts to scrap and fight for a classic 1-0 win to get the Burchnall era up and running.

    Wootton.

    If we lose as predicted I expect the traditional NCM post game meltdown to be rather minor tbh.

    I’m claiming that as spot on apart from the goal scorer. Scrap and fight and classic 1-0 win.

    I am absolutely thrilled that my 0-4 prediction was way off - even if it looked a mite optimistic after 15 minutes.

    Also good that Effiong and Wolfe are going back to their clubs - no point bringing squad players in on loan. Let’s get players in who can have a positive effect on the side, like Mark Ellis has done.

    Two great things today other than beating a rival - the ability to win ugly by battling, and the introduction of Lewis Knight and Cal from the bench. Truly a good Friday, maintaining our 100 percent Friday record this season.

    With this squad, I believe the wheels have comprehensively fallen off. Unfortunately, on current evidence neither the mentality nor management is there to get them out of their downward spiral.

    I'm now basically waiting either until next season unless we can maybe get the likes of Roberts, Brindley, Knight and the new midfield lad in the team regularly and they can somehow change the mentality.
    Very happy to have been wrong about the result. 3 out of the 4 players above playing definitely helped though

    Nice one Cam. Like everyone else delighted my prediction of a 1-1 draw was wrong.
