Why isn't Enzio closing down in those situations? It seems kinda nuts to just leave your opposite number all the space and time they need?

General note... they're all over us and look to be the better team so far.

Hartlepool deserve to be ahead, we have been very poor and frustrating to watch. Wootton missed a good chance, but it was our one and only chance. They must have put 20 crosses into our box, we have managed maybe a couple. Why is Enzio playing so very deep? If we want a right back, we have Kelly-Evans. Still plenty to play for, but we have to be a lot, lot better in the second half.

Notts have got to go for in the second half, as nothing to lose now, hopefully bring roberts on, and things may happen
I would have taken a point before kick off they're decent especially at home. We need to show more but at least IB does something about it early on.

It will happen with any player who simply can't be arsed to use his legs and do his job of closing down. Defending doesn't require great ability, just hard work and determination, and that's what Enzio was lacking there and several other times in the first half. We weren't much better on the other side either. If you allow that number of balls into your area from wide it's only a matter of time before your luck runs out.

Exactly, either move him up the field or put someone in his place who can defend. Bad move IB.

I could understand playing Enzio in a one off situation due to injuries or a game situation but to play him consistently there seems wrong. He may have played ' ok ' there in the other games but we all know where his skills lie. Plus what does that say about DKE .Surely he must be a better option?

This. What footballer nevermind professional wouldn't have known to stop the cross. He had 2 or 3 touches and Enzio was still 5 meters off him. Not good enough for a paid footballer.

No complaints at half time. Fear that my early confidence was misplaced. Real test coming up this second half and, hopefully, it is a repeat of the Woking comeback and not the flat response shown in games such as v Chesterfield, Halifax etc.

Fullarton and Sheridan both won at Pools but other than that we have a pretty grim record up there. Funnily enough we've played the same amount of league games there as we have at Stamford Bridge (16) with an identical record, W3 D4 L9.
