A very easy way to know if Notts will win a game.... put it live on tv! our record on tv is absolutely shocking.... that was all kinds of awful today the way things are going we might squeak a playoff spot but all the teams around us are winning regularly so it will be close

He's definitely had a very uninspiring start though.

We’re no better because we’re about where we should be with the squad we have. If anything, we’re a bit above to be honest. The reason we’ve changed manager (and to a head coach at that) is because the squad we have is unbalanced, too old and too slow - there’s not much point judging anything before mid-way through next season.

Some people need to calm down. Hartlepool have gone top and don't lose at home. Yes we were poor in the first half, but we controlled the game in the second and were pushing for an equaliser until Cal limped off.

Can't really agree with that. We didn't control the game in the second half, and they did look better than us.

This is really poor Notts. Just when you thought things couldn't be any worse Cal injured again. No hope now.

Wootton won every header today, but he was too deep for my liking. Our final ball is poor and Enzio has lost all purpose. All of his threat has been taken away.

Griffiths looks another waste of a loan and the central midfield just isn't dynamic enough.

We can't hammer Birchnall for the rubbish squad. That is Ardley and Abbott's doing.

Strange one that. I think we were coming back in to it 2nd half and may have knicked a draw if Roberts had stayed on. Hope he's ok.

A frustrating day really. Other teams winning, Roberts injured and we look very average.

Good side Hartlepool, dominated midfield. Nice football throughout and a couple of talented players.

Good to see IB change things tactically in the 37th minute and going with 3 up top and more pace but far too easy for them to get 20/30 yards out without any trouble two dozen times. Actually defended the balls into box well although their delivery was average at best.

Lose midfield battle that badly you don't win the game

Worse thing about today is not my awful showing in the grand national, not the Notts result nor performance but Roberts injury.

we haven't really got the central midfield players to make it work against teams who sometimes pack the midfield. Neil Bishop and Ricky Ravenhill were energetic workhorses who made it work ten years ago, but you can't expect a veteran like Doyle, as fit as he is, to do that job; and Reeves isn't really dynamic enough either. O'Brien's maybe the hardest worker, but again he's no spring chicken.

Need IB to identify this problem and get a player in accordingly.

I really like your optimism but that was terrible... first half was too bad to be true, invited them unto us and offered nothing in response, second half there was a slight difference but never looked like scoring, biggest budget in the league but they made us look like Chorley today... that was very very bad
