    Maybe?
That's a fair point Grist because not only did Coventry play 2 up front from the off, but they came out of the blocks quickly straight from the start and pretty much kept that kind of tempo up nearly, if not all game UT

Yes he made us run around aimlessly chasing the ball. We could have been a whole lot smarter by holding onto the ball and making the ball do the work rather than the hoof the ball forward like a dog chasing a ball in the park

Robins had us worked out and his plan worked

    Wycombe did the same.

Coventry as expected did their homework
It’s a good job we got the three points at qpr which some thought wasn’t an important game 😉

I’m not getting excited about when we play next tbh

We went with wing backs cause we had no wingers fit good enough. Now Ogbene & Sadlier are fit again last throw of the dice go back to 4-5-1 formation. After not long last night you could tell it wasn't working. I still can't understand not starting with Barlaser & Ladapo. If Robertson was fit enough him also. But Warney won't drop certain players like Crooks & Wiles. Wood to me playing is the last resort.

Whilst I think we obviously disagree on the level of tiredness playing a factor I do agree that we could of done better with the ball still. 3 biggest issues for me.

    1. Right footed left wing back. Whoever it is, it is clunky and doesn't flow. Taking the ball, passing, crossing, all clunky because it isn't natural. Add to that no left sided balance in front and it is awkward. I know I've said it a million times but you need natural width and balance throughout the team.
    2. Olosunde was a nervous wreck. Young lad but it got to him, looked absolutely shell shocked the whole time he was on. Very little outlet. That basically meant our 2 out balls in terms of full backs were non existent as dangers going forward. Forced long balls or going inside where Coventry wanted.
    3. Wiles instead of Barlaser. Barlaser gives you quality on the ball, like Wing, he has quality to take a second, slow it down and play cute balls to knock it about. Wiles doesn't. The midfield 3 are then struggling to get a foothold and when they do the outlets out wide aren't there to impose themselves in behind or in dangerous areas so we end up going back and hoofing. They lapped it up.

Unfortunately Birmingham will adopt exactly the same style and tactics as Wycombe and Coventry. Really annoys me that Barlaser, the best passer of a ball at the club, cannot make the side. Lindsay.who has very limited skills, is only effective when he can rat and annoy the softer pretty pretty type of opponent. When he is matched physically he's a waste of a shirt. Olosunde looked lost from the kick off and Icky's distribution is woeful. Where is Mattock by the way ? !!

I will echo that comment about viktor. Thank god for him or it could have been 4 or 5. He is turning into one of the best goalies we have had in years and the way he reacts to dangers coming off his line is like having an extra defender. Only young as well and will get better. Value needs to get him on a long long contract.

I actually think we have been consistent this season. We have consistantly given the ball away, especially the defenders. For some reason they all think they are Franz ****ing Beckenbauer.Even when a team mate is 10 yards away they will smash it 40 yards down field. As i said months ago, giving the ball away in this league is a crime, and we are about to get our punishment.

My God what a miserable fickle defeatist bunch of whingers.

The whole season has swung from one extreme to the other and you still don't see the pattern

Every defeat is met with the same pessimistic garbage

Every victory is over-hyped and sensationalised.

We are still in it and will be up to the end.

    Chin up FFS
