Last Wednesday we had Matt Crooks sent off following a clash of heads when he led with his arm that appeared to glance off his opponents chest. A 3 match ban that on appeal was upheld. Although winning 1-0 at the time we played the following 20 minutes with 10 men and ended up losing 2-1. Keith Hackett said there was no intent and that the club should appeal the red card decision.
On Saturday we played Barnsley who ‘scored’ in the 2nd minute with a goal from Morris who again lead with his arm injuring the goalkeeper’s eye socket with a challenge that Jeff Stelling described as GBH.
There just doesn’t appear to be any consistency.
I’m sure I’m not the only fan who is bemused by the standards that have been eminent this season. If VAR had have been in use in the Championship there would have been far different outcomes for other clubs as well as Rotherham. Survival in the Championship should not depend on dubious decisions by referees. I would welcome your observations on how the EFL intend to rectify these anomalies in the game and why retrospective suspensions seem to have disappeared?”
Where did you write to out of interest? I need to get my thoughts out in writing too but I'm not sure where to send it to, I'm still seething about the decisions over the last week, even if they don't acknowledge me at least it'll be good for my emotional health I hope!

We hear this sort of ignorant comment from fans about us every year to be honest, and it just spurs us on more these days.
Average, dirty, lucky, direct, physical, & route one etc, these are some of the many descriptions we've heard about us this season.
Are we bothered, no not really because we've also seen it from your side way too many times. Bad luck and bad officials against your team is annoying I agree, but what can we do about it!.
You have a completely different style of play to how I think Barnsley normally play.
Very effective mind but I must say that I prefer the other style better and you're in the play offs. I for one will be rooting for you.

Correct me if i'm wrong but don't the FA handle all appeals etc ? For example see their judgment on the Smith appeal on the FA website. Could we be contacting the wrong people ?

Just listened to Carlton Morris interview with radio Sheffield. When asked about his goal he said "I went up for the ball and felt contact from the goalie and it ended up in the back of the net".
Contact "FROM" the goalie? Really? So why didn't the interviewer follow up by asking him how he thought the goalie ended up taken off with severe facial damage?

Oh ffs grow up you miserable childish w*nkers. I was there - the game was televised anyway - when a blind linesman and ref didn't see a WBA goal against us. Byfield scored. We held on for 1:1 and Crewe were relegated on GD. The Crewe manager unlike the pathetic pr*ck we have said "These things happen in football." I don't remember any RUFC fans apologising to Crewe supporters. You lot and your pathetic self-serving memories make me sick.
