This thread really should be about football's upcoming media boycott rather than one person's infatuation.

I'm a tech luddite too, I had no idea you could do that. Although it was only this season I discovered PMs, so not much of a surprise lol.

An ignore/block list if used will work wonders for all involved. Marvellous, no excuses now.

Does make me wonder why has this not been mentioned before by the frustrated, annoyed and fed up observers who simply 'don't care'.

I wonder if the two currently banned knew about this option? If they did and had chosen to use it they wouldn't get so needlessly worked up and subsequently sent to the naughty step.

    C'est la vie.

Here's an example of what can be achieved.

Of course, I wouldn't dream of blocking these two doyens of debate. This is just shown as an example.

You have the option to remove the poster from your ignore list, but my mouse refuses to go anywhere near it.

Damn, if you view the board while not logged in you can still see the posts from those on your 'blocked list'.

It's a great example and should be encouraged.

If the uptake is half decent it should not only significantly reduce the petty arguments which are rightly so unpopular on NCM but also the moaning about them by others#noexcuses.

The positive knock-on effect should also mean less baiting, goading, windups, car crash TV, abuse, bad language and bans and more discussion and heated debates about all things Notts

It's a great day for the #mission. Thank you Gump and 60YearsAPie this could and should be a game changer

Funnily enough, Tarquin tried this a few years back, and I was the person he blocked. The funny thing is that he often used to comment about my posts even though he shouldn't have read them!

I won't be blocking anyone, it's a public messageboard and everyone who stays within the rules has the right to say what they think. At least those who do want to use it will be aware of it now.

If a poster you haven't blocked, quotes a poster that you have blocked. I wonder if you can see the quoted text?

I don't know, but that definitely wasn't the case with Tarquin.

That's the first hint you've given about the purpose of the 'mission'.

I now know one of the aims is to stifle free speech.

Also, if a blocked poster makes a post does it show an empty box or does the post just not appear at all? It could make things a bit difficult to follow if the next comment or two relate to a post that you haven't seen!

As I said, It's not something I'll be using.
