I realise that with a static matters are different.
For us (me and ‘she who must be obeyed’) the ability to make a last minute decision to just go...is great. We’re fortunate to be able to keep our small towing van discretely at the side of our house and able to shoot off with little notice.
Clearly both being retired helps !
Spot on Prando! I find it’s all about the site, where it is and what the facilities are. Do a little research first, trip advisor is great for this, prime example would be the Norfolk and Suffolk coast, Yarmouth for example you know the sites will be high volume with clubhouses lots of kids etc hence not one for a quiet break, just up the coast a little at Aldeburgh for example and it’s tranquility all the way, big pitches, right next to the beach and a short walk along the beach to the lovely town, it has a ban on any amusement arcades etc, hence not really somewhere you get lots of noisy kids so perfect for a quiet break.
