I'm sorry sad sacks but Nice Guy Neal is gone, and he's not coming back. Don't worry you'll still get your Merry Christmas text, but you're both going to have to make your own sandwiches on matchday from now on. Deal with it.
Now this bit is true. If these two aren't the founders of the unofficial 'Neal Ardley supporters club' then I'm Enzio's uncle.

During those viewings the one issue that sticks out is there is next to no debate between Paul and Leigh, no contrast, no counter argument not even an alternative view.

As Freemuzzy said the views are the same, so too much back patting and soundbite seeking rather anything being challenged. When we were putting in poor perfomances under NA they collectively defended them even though we looked unconvincing. Now he's gone and poor perfomances have pretty much continued they are attacking IB collectively. Same unbalanced biased script, needs freshening up a little.

You can't take the opening summary of IBs past achievements seriously IMO.

How he thinks getting NA is going to help matters for the club and fanbase going forward I have no idea.
I have only watched two to be fair, the one with Charlie Slater and this one. It is described as pre-Altrincham, I don't think that got a mention until an hour had gone.

I can't see how it was helpful. LC remarked on how the fan base is divided - I just felt this drove the wedge in further.

It isn't a case of not liking the message, some of it was true - but there was little balance, apart from right at the end when it was recognised that play-offs are still very possible.

Not sure why the owners or IB would want to go on it.

Regarding LC always agreeing, it seemed to me that there were times he wanted to disagree but wasn't given any opportunity.

I’ve just sat down with a full mug of coffee which has now spilt due to laughing so much, he does tend to itch/scratch a lot

There was a really interesting and insightful guest on the Notts County Talk pod last night

How can anyone be taken seriously when his photo on the thumbnail looks to be from 10+ years ago, who's he trying to catfish?

To be fair to Leigh (and I'm far from his biggest fan) he doesn't seem to be saying anything bad about IB but never heard him moaning like this under Ardley.

The Notts fan base was split all the time under Ardley probably more than now & if he did get Ardley on the podcast anytime before IB has been given a chance all he would be doing their is trying to undermine IB and cause more upset for views/personal gain, which is a complete d*ck move.

TSHANO, you said "Are the club really going to trust him to rebuild this team"...no they are not going to trust him, that's why he's head coach and not manager. He has said himself he won't be dealing with signings.

His appointment is very left field and he has not got off to a great start but the owners atleast deserve one chance to give it a crack "their way".

    Scoop: I've had my haircut.
    Other guy: HAAHAAAHHAAAAHAAMUAAAHHHAHAAHAHAHAHMUAAAHHHHHAAAAH !!!

Anyway the whole tone of the podcast seems like a total overreaction. I think both of them could've quite easily done a similar hatchet job on NA - let's face it, all the same raw material was there; unconvincing interviews showing lack of confidence and intensity? Yep, NA had that in spades.

Dubious presentation of poor results to portray them in a better light? Yep, when we were creating 1 chance roughly every hundred minutes in league games and rolling over pub teams in the cup, NA would often talk about 'only x losses in x games'.

Less than convincing stats from previous seasons? Yep, NA had those too.

Last week Scoop was literally squealing his frustrations about Enzio being deployed in defence (I agree btw), but who started that little experiment? NA spent almost his entire time at the club restricting Enzio's play and burdening him with extra responsibility. Never saw Scoop give him a hard time about it at press conferences either.

Don't get me wrong, IB was a left field appointment both in terms of timing and profile, and he may well turn out to be crap, but nobody's going to convince me that until 8 games ago we were basking in some kind of footballing nirvana with NA.

I don't know about Magpie Circle, I'd call it a Circle Jerk of people with a totally jaundiced attitude towards the new manager and to some extent the owners, trying to foment a fan rebellion out of nothing. Completely unfair and uncalled for IMO, and makes NCM seem positively reasonable in comparison.

And what was all that catastrophism about having trouble selling season tickets? I'd imagine any Notts fans willing and able to go to Meadow Lane from a Covid perspective will be all over it when football reopens.

It actually makes me want to buy 10 season tickets and give them away, not out of altruism but just to spite that guy there.

Can I cut you short? If you buy one season ticket for me and the others are about 400 quid each x 9 I can go and watch a few times live and you can pay. Game on?

Also was anyone aware that Paul Mace actually used to work at Leicester City & he is very good friends with Martin O’Neill ? One episode I watched he stated it four times.
I really enjoy the ex player interviews so think he should revert back to doing that rather than the depressing snipes at IB & failed recruitment, not replacing players, poor communication etc etc
As the saying goes “stick to what you’re good at”

Glad to see my thoughts on this particular episode of the Circle are shared by so many.

Drillerpie put my thoughts into words perfectly. I hope we don't see such a biased blatant hatchet job with a prime intention to unnecessarily stir things up amongst the fanbase.

Not sure when they do these live is there a set time? but if free and available I'd be very keen to comment live to at least provide some balance to the show.
