Them 3-3 Us...back from being 3 down is it the end of the road?
Alt 1 Notts 4
Knowles 2 JOB and Enzio.
1-0 loss. More crap defending.
Notts control the game with slick passing and movement - until it comes to someone actually taking a shot - ooer! Easily collected and booted out by Alt's goalie. Notts midfield gaze in awe as it sails over their heads and to the feet of the oldest player on the field. "Gummy" easily outpaces our defenders who are still applauding the earlier slick passing etc.
1 - 0.
Huge embarrassment by the players and Notts look rather sheepish too, "Try that again and see what happens" sez Doyle.
Result 2 - 0
Altrincham 0-2 Notts County
Boldewijn, Wootton
Mo seems pleased, although the results aren't going our way he's happy we're getting more box entries.
All we need to do is convert the box entries into 'get it under the bar and between the posts' and we will be fine.
Interesting what he said that every player signed must have something that stands out (words to that effect - not going to look at it again) and that we need some nastiness.
Linky for a stream of todays game, interesting comments.

Altrincham will be seeking to end a run of four successive defeats, the last three all at home, and avoid a repeat of their sequence of five successive defeats in games 21 to 25. Having lost just six times in the first twenty games of the league season, Alty have been beaten 11 times in their last 16 matches.
However, in terms of recent form it is Notts County who are marginally the lower ranked team, having lost all four of their last matches and taken just a single point from their last five league fixtures, whereas Alty have had a win and four losses in that period.
I always feel Alty never get their due when giant killing is shown on the TV. They are still the only non-league side to win away against a first division team - Birmingham City in 1986, especially as they were 1 down midway through the 2nd half.
Here's that team: 1 Jeff Wealands, 2 Phil Gardner, 3 Peter Densmore, 4 Jeff Johnson, 5 Paul Cuddy, 6 Peter Conning, 7 Doug Newton, 8 John Davison, 9 Ronnie Ellis, 10 Paul Reid, 11 Gary Anderson, 12 Mick Farrelly
Incidentally David Seaman was in goal for the Blues that day.
