The pitch looks very bobbly with the ball bouncing about everytime a pass is made. Hopefully this works in our favour and causes Alrincham to make a mistake and not against us where we make a mistake because of it.

Who is our second striker today? Ellis?
When Knowles goes back to Mansfield in the summer we need to sign two experienced (but not old!) strikers to properly replace Dennis and Thomas, whilst continuing to develop Lewis Knight who could become a really good signing but has had to try to make an impact this season without proper preparation after months not playing.

Wootton has clearly suffered from the excessive reliance on him to score goals, but I'm in no doubt he would be snapped up by pretty much any of our competitors and quite a few teams in the league above if we let him go (which we won't). He's a good young player suffering from a loss of form and some very poor support from those around him.

By my reckoning, that makes him one of our best players, because many of the others offer nothing, full stop.

Maybe he's being dragged down by his surroundings!
This.. Imagine if we actually encouraged him like we do with some of our other 'top pro's'...we may have a player on our hands

Give him his due, Rodders is the only player who turns when he receives the ball to see what's in front of him.

Looking better this half. The goal has helped us I think. Rodrigues looks sharper, we're getting it forward faster and finally we have some decent movement when we are going forward. The subs have helped as well. Come on Notts!

What the cook has happened to Enzio??
Not half the player he was. He needs to buck his ideas up or clear off.. 🤔🤔

Pretty sure he will be as his contract is up. Won't get the same money he's on again but he will get back in the football league.

“A lot of passes from defenders to Reeves and back again.”

We are playing higher up the pitch this half now on the edge of our own half and we are having some possession but we are a bit slow in getting the ball forward to the strikers. Quick forward passing is in the opposing half was a stand out against Torquay. It's a bit more Ardley-esk like lots of passing between defenders and midfielders.
