A very poor watch that was but what I will say is if we were still after a playoff spot I don’t think we would have lost this game.

We played like we had nothing to play for in all honesty and simply performed like steady Eddys but still creating a few chances which we failed to take.

I reckon another at least another 30% still in the tanks at full time.

I’m disappointed well I don’t think so. Same again next week where a point will do nicely against the Champions.

There is no rhyme and reason going in to the play offs Poggy that's for sure .

Just thinking about our three play off campaigns in previous years for instance .

    2000

Lost at home to Crewe on the final day 2-0 .

Ist leg Play Off semi final , Birmingham 0-4 Barnsley .

    2006 .

Won at Walsall 2-1 on the final day to clinch 6th spot .

1st leg Play Off semi final , Barnsley 0-1 Huddersfield .

    2016

Won at champions Wigan 4-1 to clinch 6th spot .

1st leg Play Off semi final , Barnsley 3-0 Walsall .

    Three totally different scenarios .

However , we always make the Final , not failed yet .

If it ends in tears ? So be it , it's been a refreshing change at least from a relegation battle , I don't like the style of play or some behaviours , but it's working , at least for now .

Created some fantastic memories have this group of players this season that's for sure and some club records along the way .

Absolutely nobody saw this coming .

The problem I have is that if we fall short we are going to lose a number of players and most definitely the HC who is probably going to Crystal Palace irrespective of what happens .

Next season could potentially be difficult in my opinion .

Looking back at today's game's team selection , plus the use of hindsight , some opportunities were passed , a chance to play Styles in midfield instead of Palmer ( who I think will get even better ) play Odour at left wing back , versatile Jordan Williams right wing back , both are capable of doing this role , Callum Brittain deserves a rest or at least be on the bench , that lad has hardly missed a minute playing since he arrived , opponents are fast working us out now , using the long ball over the top , we are then relying on Collins to bale us out ? It's not good to watch ,neither is it entertaining , poor allround from what I watched today , we are not playing well going into these Play Offs , that worries me slightly , but I suppose we will see , maybe it's too hard or late in the season to expect a different style of play or a change in our predictable system ?

Bournemouth have just lost two in a row , I'd be extremely worried losing at Wycombe today with the quality of squad they have at their disposal , a shytehouse team , there's a pattern developing on the south coast for sure .

Brentford , now there's a question , personally I don't think they are as strong as they were last season because they are heavily reliant on Toney .

The front three they had last season was phenomenal , now they have the one as good as he is .

That's two teams we've beaten and away from home .

We come up against Brentford in that semi final they will have to change the way they like to play , straight away they are out of their comfort zone .

They cannot beat our high press and what's more Thomas Frank knows it .

We change nothing , you set yourselves up to counter us and take your chances .

We have a psychological edge in my opinion over Brentford who are serial play off bottlers .

We play as well as we can and in my opinion we will make the final .

The final and the potential opponents is probably another conversation .

Here's what Val had to say today, and I'm not surprised to hear how disappointed he was with the performance.
I expected it to be honest, I felt it might be and end of season type 0-0, and it was from us, but the Nobbers saw it differently and scored twice.

" We didn't put in the performance we wanted and it's a big disappointment.
It's a typical case that when we reach our goal last week the pressure came down and we need to raise that. It's a warning for everyone that we need to refocus and come back to our strength and intensity.
The goals show it was a concentration problem, it seems that the guys switched off this afternoon which I guess is a normal human process. Now the good thing is we will refocus and know what we have to do and find the right solution against Norwich. "

    JUST Fecking KICK IT ANYWHERE
Huddersfield and Second half at Bournemouth apart, it’s been poor last ten games. Only plus point for me was Brittain got forward and crossed a few..... for me it looks like this fella has had his laces tied long enough to get to half way line now, and no more.... he was part of our big threat.
Some of these are maybe starting to believe their hype. They’ve done well..... but for me they’d be in tomorrow morning.
    No swimming for anyone!
