For me, the only difference now is the Vaccine and the way it appears to cover a wide range of mutations so far and prevents transmission, but with roll out being so patchy around popular UK travel destinations, a new mutation could still negate our brilliant efforts!

I do not have any confidence in either the UK or Scottish Government reacting quickly enough to prevent outbreaks from coming home! Past responses still gave the holiday makers time to come back loaded with the virus, and i have doubts our quarantine system has the capacity if things return to 100% quarantine.

On testing, the LFT method is continually reported as very unreliable with anything down to 10% reliability depending on who you listen to. PCR testing takes far too long, BUT, i did hear a while back that a new easier, faster and highly reliable LFT test was in final development.

I think vaccine passports are coming, and i see it as a good thing, but we need to get to a place where we can do things without testing if everyone is vaccinated!
