Will the new mental wellbeing room be installed at the same time? Undoubtedly the boy has talent but what is the point when he is never up for it? Aberdeen is hardly reknowned for getting the best out of previously good players and for this reason I think it isn't worth the gamble. We are already taking a big risk signing an aging midfielder with zero coaching experience.

If we can sign a striker who will outscore Leigh Griffiths then fair enough. If not, he should be our number 1 target. He will definitely score goals

I don't have a problem with us signing JET, provided he's not seen as our main striker. He seems like an upgrade on Cosgrove to me, and there would be games in which he could be effective. But unless we can get a drastic improvement out of him in terms of goal scoring, then I would hope he'd be a foil/backup rather than 1st choice. The latter would be a bit depressing and I would start to worry at that point.

For now, though, I'm going to stick to my big boy pants until I see how the squad as a whole shapes up.

I think he probably was/is the number one target. But around 10k a week for someone who isn’t guaranteed to be physically or mentally fit from one week to the next may well be a stumbling block.

If we are going to sign JET and people don’t think he will be our main striker I presume we have accepted that we will be playing with one striker again next season?

I thought Cormack and Glass promised us attacking entertaining football next season?

Maybe we should try playing with 2 strikers and we might be more entertaining to watch.

If you’re going to have 3 strikers on the books you need a main man, a big man and a wee quick man to give a bit of variety and flexibility. So if JET is the big man that’s fine. In addition to those 3 you might also have a utility man who can play in behind or out wide.

We all want a team of 11 international superstars but it’s not going to happen. It’s a rebuilding process, and it’ll be a lot of new players in but probably looking at a few real quality players amongst them and then hopefully add another one or two real quality players each window. Anything better than that and I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Right, can we stop calling Thomas "JET".
It is fu ck ing wa nky beyond belief.
Also, the guy scored 24 goals in 82 appearances for Bristol City 2013-2015.
High watermark by a million miles.
Didn't we learn our lesson with Curtis Main?

Remember, oh long long time ago, what.....two seasons ......... when Louis Moult was our saviour and just HAD to be our main target?

To be fair, the loon does have it on the back of his shirt. Going to be hard to avoid, given the mouthful that is "Jay Emmanuel Thomas".

Maybe a secondary reason to pass on signing him!

Hmmm. One in four ish. . How god a team were BC. though ?

Adam Rooney didnt score too many at Birmingham did he ? ( I don't know )

The boy JET ( Whoo oo oo oo ooh ooh ). Can certainly hit a clean strike. And others have said he rumbled up the cheeks defenders. ( Against us he was getting into great postions , can play a pass and take one , and scored a couple of good goals..But jings he fair crumpled over his own feet for that " penalty")

Nah. I'd have him here. Improvement on what we currently have. Lot more mobile than big Sam was.

    It's a start.

What’s the main man got to be then?

    Big or wee and quick?
