I have none of those options..its the gf's tablet.im on my Samsung phone now and I still have no such options.
It looks like it's going to have to be will power alone.
Just to clarify I go to his user name click on view profile and there should be the ignore option visible?
Done the above but I have none of the options you've screen shot...all help and advise welcomed

I've just tried it out Pedro, and it only works for me if I change to 'desktop site' on Chrome - in the 3 dots at the top right. Then if I click on someone's name, the option to ignore appears. Like you, I can't see it otherwise. HTH, let us know.

Yes it’s the name that attracts the other two to continually instigate petty non Notts related arguments as illustrated beautifully by you both over the weekend. It’s the name that winds you two up continually. Not that people care, they just want it to stop.

It’s also the name the other two are clearly obsessed with. Fan clubs are meant to be nice positive things, your one is dark, ominous and a little scary. For example Pedro by my calculations has said my name over 50 times on the message board in just the last 48 hours!! That’s not normal right?

This could all have been avoided if you had heeded Swale's advice and taken petty arguments to the handbags thread. Instead, you continued them on football threads and forced him to move them there.

I'm still waiting for your "very valid reasons" as to why you refused to do as he asked.

But thats the thing you are missing EP, the whole handbags thread is null and void if you had chose the obvious 'ignore option' that people are suggesting. You could have saved yourself so many of those 550+ posts.

Wait no longer chap I'm always happy to answer questions below are my very valid reasons in order:

1. I don't want to use the handbag threads where I suspect a high percentage of the content is focused on me and the remainder holds absolutely no interest to me. I want to talk about Notts and I doubt that thread has much Notts talk in it.

2. There is absolutely no guarantee that if I had partaken in that thread that the content, views and posts would have remained contained within that thread. Don't tell me for one moment that loose cannons such as Pedro and Navy wouldn't have referenced or quoted things said in there elsewhere? Lol. Therefore it limits its effectiveness, and doesn't come close to the above far more clinical and simpler ignore option or even the PM option also previously rejected.

3. I don't want to read a concentrated thread where the same people repeat the same things endlessly (I include myself there), asking the same questions even when answered. Ignore any questions being answered. It's quite a scary prospect to have undiluted Elite, Pedro and Navy dominating posts. I fear I wouldn't be able to keep up and I having a feeling it wouldn't be a fair trial. I'm pretty confident that the only person more obsessed with me than your goodself has well and truly already made his mind up. We would just go around and around in circles it would be like an episode of the Twilight Zone or more likely the "The Tales of the Expected".

4. It's already had a positive past impact on NCM by containing the fanclub where they can say whatever they want, after, pat each other on the back and have fun at someone else's expense who doesn't care. It reduced the petty arguments on the main board. I fear this was noticed and therefore desperation grew hence this weekend antics.

But the fact that you have so many posts on that thread proves you don't just talk about Notts. You get into more petty arguments than anyone else on this board. That is your right, but your downfall is that you do it on other threads (thereby ruining them for many) instead of the thread requested by the moderator.

They may have been referenced and quoted on other threads, but you should do what I did at first. When I replied, I put "Moved to handbags thread". That means the thread in question quickly gets back on topic.

If you don't want to read that sort of thing, don't get involved in it. You are the common link to nearly all of it.

It would have had a more positive impact if you had done as requested and used it like some of us did. Threads would have contained less arguments, and Swale wouldn't have had to spend his time moving them to the proper place. He set it up as a solution, and you rudely, ignorantly and arrogantly told him "no, I'm not doing that".

It's only a partial solution at best. You can still see posts from posters on your 'ignore list' prior to logging in and you can see their posts if some other poster 'quotes them'. Not really worth bothering with, IMHAHO.
