I was under the impression that there was a short list of four: Wilder, Lampard, Cooper and Wagner. Perhaps I'm wrong!

From what I've just been reading in Express and Star I am wrong.

Out of that top 10, I'd probably want Wilder.
Wouldn’t want any of them to be honest

Don't forget we're dealing with China.

And as you say, has access to the best young players on loan in the country at Man City like Liam Delap, Tommy Doyle, Morgan Rogers If you know much about youth football, these are probably the standout players in the country at their age group.

He ticks a lot of boxes in all apart from experience, but then look how much experience Pardew had...
I can’t see an average young player being developed any further unless they are a top class player. We don’t have a young Bryan Robson. We don’t have a Harvey Barnes, we don’t have a Gallagher. Head and shoulders above the best of our young lads. We need some pearls.

Purely from a recruitment position I would go with Lampard, he also isn’t afraid to play the kids, Wilder would be first choice but given the rebuilding needed I worry he will turn a sows ear into a dog chew ...

I've been mulling the manager's position over and over and to be honest I've changed my mind the same number of times. However, I am now coming around to giving Lampard the chance. Reasons: young, prepared to give youngsters a chance, good contacts, attacking football, has had some experience of division at Derby. NO COMPENSATION, a big plus to our club. If not Lampard, then Wilder, a safe pair of hands. Definitely not Terry, no respect, or Wagner, appalling record since leaving Huddersfield. Probably change my mind again though.

I think Slim Pickens has been dead for quite a while.
