I'm also of the opinion that the fixture congestion was absolutely a contributing factor.
Our end to the season was Milwall followed by 2 days off, Wycombe, 4 days off, Huddersfield, 2 days off, QPR, 1 day off, Coventry, 2 days off, Birmingham, 2 days off, Boro, 2 days off, Barnsley, 2 days off, Brentford, 3 days off, Blackburn, 2 days off, Luton, 3 days off followed by Cardiff.
To play that many games with so little time in between is so difficult. The lads need recovery time, they need injury treatment, they need time to analyse the previous performance, they need time to train, they need to work on the tactical plan for the next match, they need time to scout the opposition.
To suggest that the fixture congestion didn't contribute to our relegation is ludicrous.
