I don't have any contacts in the club, so I haven't had anyone tell me stories. But a lot of people on here are hearing stuff from the club, but they won't back it up with what the actual stories are, just that they "hear things". I don't expect them to name who their contacts are, but if you are being told things, then share, don't be cryptic.

I'm not saying I've got contacts at the club.
It's difficult. The club aren't going to issue a statement saying (for example) Tony and Mickey haven't seen eye to eye for a long time now, there was a massive bust up and Mickey says he can't work with Tony any more. Or......Mickey didn't agree with some of the stuff that was going on, his wife was homesick, he's got an open offer from Tranmere and decided to go back south.

In the absence of truth, which we're never going to get in full, fans will fill the void and often exaggerate the "I heard xyz" because a lot of fans want other fans to think they've got contacts. People guess then say "Rumour is that..." It's completely sh1t.

Even managers who didn't sign confidentiality agreements will rarely slag a club off because they know their potential employers will take note.

But the sooner we find out who next manager is the sooner we can move on to moaning about that!
