Don't shoot the messenger but be interesting if MM ends up there again...

Looks like my sources source might've been onto something after all... I'll chib him for the low down on our new manager 😛

I'm genuinely not fussed about MM going, he did a decent job, not a great job

More concerned with who replaces him, and when there is an obvious proven choice available, why they are taking a big risk

Mellon was unsettled up here, don't think the pandemic made things easier. United board were like the fans, happy with the results, disappointed with the performances. This saved United money from sacking Mellon and made it easier to go back to Tranmere since there would be no compensation.

When Mellon came in, Courts was always the long term plan as the replacement manager (hence all the rumours since MM left), but was never the plan for it to be this early. Will be another manager in and when/if that manager leaves in 2-3 years then Courts will take over.

Yip, I might have been speaking to someone over the weekend wink wink

Is the Obvious choice you talk about available to us? Guessing by you'r previous posts mcinnes is you'r Obvious choice not sure he would do much at utd even if they wanted him and he wanted to come but don't know he did win one league cup at sheep with lot more money than he could expect at utd and was possibly helped from infirm for sheep keeping scottish football in dark ages with them backing the 11-1 voting structure. Are they taking a big risk? will wait to see who is appointed after the interviews.

Also to add, there is no 'outstanding' candidate, its quite open at the moment. Wouldn't surprise me if there is a surprise appointment (I don't mean inexperienced like Courts, I mean a guy that hasn't been talked about much, or at all)

Courts might not be officially on the coaching team, but would be learning from the manager behind the scenes. That is what was happening with Mellon
