Prefer to look beyond my nose end, prevents me from getting it broken and bloodied by avoiding obstacles. I suspect those in positions of influence and power at the club do likewise, hence why I found the decision to drop Meslier illogical, given the possible consequences.

    We will see, won't we?

Meslier creates attention in the French football press particularly near us in Brittany as he comes from Lorient. The English press re-quote many articles which end up projecting different stories to feed off notably - The Guardian paper in England.

One older story here in FULL 19/4/21 came out totally different in England recently as I read both French & English papers. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.co...illan-meslier/
Total click bait for ex-pro pundits to cream over and distort.

Every player will have a price one day and keepers tend to peak later age wise - any Agent activity in Brittany where all Meslier's agents team are based would be known rest assured as would their dealings with Rennes,Brest as they are quick to leak stories.
To date nothing's happened or is happening apart from him moving up the French national teams pecking order due to our local Nantes team goalkeeper Lafont’s relegation play-off late schedule with FC Nantes, you could’ve argued that Meslier deserved to be starting anyway. So with Lafont's late arrival for French National team training it looks as though Meslier would be between the sticks for the French U21 team's first game against Holland on May 31st and I'm sure Bielsa considered all relevant man management factor possibilities from both sides which the English press decided was not relevant to their stories printed.

Don't tire out your typing fingers in an attempt to provide any other possible logical reason. Simply not worth it....🙄

Ohhh boy it just never ends here Come on ffs season has finished, we did great and had a few may be quite a few tussles in here cant we just have a break like the players.
MrWhites don't go causing fights in here, as usual, I'll get the blame lol.
The kid was rested for french been a long season for him and by the time he finishes his commitments, he will be lucky to have a couple of week's break. I suspect it was Kikos farewell games for us I hope anyway.

One of the many good reasons the club over achieves is the great team/squad spirit, you could equally argue including 2 players definitely on their way out would be bettered by playing 2 upcoming...... This club continues to be run correctly, but hey ho

You knew I couldn't leave THAT alone! (But this will be my final comment on this issue).

Pablo and Gaetano being included in what will be their final appearance was perfectly understandable, as both contributed significantly to promotion. You are suggesting Koko is in the same bracket?

Ha you ask a question with your final comment ... you won't be replying so lol
Am suggesting MB is the master, in particular of making a squad play above itself... rest assured he gave much consideration to resting Meslier due to his hectic summer v Team harmony... It was clear that the whole squad supported Kiko during those bleak times and still do... nothing to see here... selective selecting issues lol

Quite like that MB does what he wants to and doesn’t really pander to player power.

Bera and Pablo have been great servants for the club and helped with promotion. Kiko less so but was still part of the promotion season and nice for them all to get game time before fans if they are never going to ply again. Meslier will barring injury get the whole of next season.

Bielsa does what he wants. And rightly so.
