and yours, frankly, is absolutely nowhere. Your team is a complete embarrasment to the game we hold dear. Dundee FC is famous for....?

Its pretty straight forward mate,a group of people who at that time were persecuted by the protestant establishment in the city of Dundee and did not want to support their masonic orange club called Dundee FC started up their own club called Dundee Hibernian.
As was the case at that time with most club's with an Irish heritage the team wore a green kit.Once it dawned on the Hibs that they were only competing with a bunch of Funsters up the road the BOD decided to change the name of the club to Dundee United to appeal to a wider section of the community.
So from 1923 until 1969 Dundee United changed its colours to Black and White. These colours may have remained until today and all three trophies won at Dens could have been in that kit but for a massive quirk of fate.In 1967 Jerry Kerr took his side over to the USA to play games under the guise of Dallas Tornado wearing the now world famous tangerine shirt.
Although United returned home and in season 67/68 wore their usual white and black or black and white away Jerry Kerr's wife kept reminding the BOD how good the boys had looked in the States and they finally relented and changed to the Tangerine and Black kit from 1969 till the present day,FACT.
I know this some sort of weird attempt at point scoring but our colours are our colours now and, as GB has pointed out, have been for 52 years. Seeing as you mention tradition; we are one of the very few Scottish clubs to still play at the ground where it was started at. BTW, the fun aren't one of them. But so what, something changed for your club, it happens.
