    Exactly

Calvin Ramsey and Jack McKenzie could well be first choice full backs next season, certainly McKenzie will be 100% first choice left back, not so sure about Ramsey, but he can play McCrorie there with Ramsey as his back up , as i don't see mcCorie as a full time career centre back and we are overstocked in the centre of the park, definately need another centre back though, McCrorie can always cover centre back as well if needed, plus I'd rather see McLennan try and develop into a right back because hes not a winger or forward player, if he wants a career in football he needs to learn how to be a right back , so in terms of right backs we already have 3 players at the club to a reasonable level, Ramsey will end up a top full back imho, looks pretty good already at 17 years old

How the attacking recruitment is approached depends on Glass prefered tactical approach, i think he prefers a back 4 and a back 4 is reliant on wingers, McInnes played a back 5 in his last year and that approach doesn't use wingers , so we need at least 1 really good winger/wide forward and another striker, goals win games, you can play Hedges in the hole, he's not really a winger for me, but if he gets injured again there is nobody else other than maybe (ross?) is he still here?

At the end of the day, the budget is the budget, Aberdeen had a pretty good defensive record last season, i'd rather the club spent the bulk of what is available on trying to find a team that is capable of scoring goals and not holding out for 0-0's every game

It's always a guessing game with squad building, do you spend all your money on the first XI and hope there are no injuries, or do you bring in players of a lesser standard to have greater depth..................i'd rather have a core of experienced solid players with promising younger players 2-3 in the side every week, Ramsey and McKenzie are 2 of them, who is the other?, blooding 2-3 younger players a year and after 3 years youv'e got a team

Have to agree. Decisiveness is a huge part of being an effective defender - you need to know what you're going to do with the ball before you get to it, are you going to take a touch, make an instant pass, lump it upfield or put it in row Z? McLennan always looks like he has no idea what he's going to do with the ball each time he gets it. I don't see any of signs of him making it as a defender. Just doesn't have the right skill set. If he could learn to consistently beat his man and put in a cross he could still make it on the wing, though.

I think he's a loon who just needs his role on the pitch simplified for him as much as possible.

I can’t make up my mind as to what was the worst decision...
Giving McLennan a 2 year deal, or giving Devlin a “6 month trial” to prove his fitness.

The Devlin decision for me is the worst by a country mile.
