Looking through the Courier sports pages today in Sainsbury's,there was a story on Micky Mellon,DFC,ST Johnstone and even Brechin but absolutely nothing on United.
Even Spency's column was about Cammy Kerr getting a testimonial season again nothing on United.I am not having a go at Dee C Thomson for a change i just think Tannadice must be closed for business this week.
The week we were supposed to be doing interviews,i am just not buying that line sorry.

I still have hope that the lack of any noise coming from Tannadice (apart from the odd article with no sources of anything) is that we are trying to be hush hush about a big appointment?

Normally, every manager/coach comes out about having an interest in the job or ruling themselves out or something but this has been very quiet. Too quiet!

Yeah I would not actually rate Carver imo.

In the week that we moved to the interview process the fans have heard nothing concrete from the club.Apart from the rumours that The Big Man was on holiday and up to a dozen people have been interviewed for Manager/head coach and assistant positions.

If Tony is on holiday i hope he gets home before being sent into isolation or it will be at least the middle of June before anything happens.

Bottom line is, no one really knows anything. Very easy to put 2 & 2 together and say Mellon was always off to Tranmere now that it's happened, however the stories of the board being unhappy with him have been around for months. Hearsay again, but what I was told is that certain members of the board weren't happy with the way he was reneging against the development strategy and wanting to do things his way. This eventually cost him his job. The writing had been on the wall for a while and it was a matter of getting the season finished and he was gone. He clearly wasn't happy towards the end of the season, his body language said as much, so its suited all parties in the end.
