We Had been crying out for a dominant centre half Like Edwards for seasons.
Credit to Mellon for his one true signing. The boy was immense for us in the end. He'll be a massive loss.
Fingers crossed he is still here next Season. I still dont understand the mullgrew signing if it happens, presumably would be on a decent wage, most likely signed as a left siđed centre half, so would be replacing a 34 year old centre half with a 35 year old centre half. Both on decent Wages.
Surely scouting system in plaće long enough to have a list of decent targets for our priority areas.
Your last paragraph nails it 100%
If it turns out to be true and we do give him a 2 year contract it confirms my opinion that our recruitment policy is garbage.
We should be identifying younger players who will be part of the future first 11 for some time to come. This is what our competitors have been doing with great success.
So, time for some catch up United.
The fans want some answers.
Is Shankland staying
Is Benji away
If so who's the replacement
Is Edwards away
If so who's the replacement
Is Mulgrew rumour correct
Why does everyone regardless of age get a 2 year deal
Are our mentors up to the job
Do we need some better mentors
Are we actually going to add some quality or hoping t eenagers will keep us up
Are we serious about next season
OR JUST FANNYING AROUND
Edit to add pre season starts in 10 days, first competitive match is now just 32 days away.
Time to put your Ogrens money where your mouth is Tony.
We are not going to get answers to those questions until something actually happens. The club wont come out and say "Hi everyone, just to let you know Benji and Edwards are probably going to leave".
If a club bids for a player, we'll hear about it the same way every football fan has, through the media initially and then confirmed by the club. Do you expect any more than that?
