Tierney fit to play. Massive news for us. Hopefully Clarke sees sense and bins O'Donnell but I really can't see it. Would like to Adams and Gilmour come in but again, I doubt that'll happen.

Ok so a defender is facing his own goal. The ball is within reach and he goes to clear it.
He can't see an attacker behind him. He might not even hear him.
As he goes into the act of clearing the ball the attacker nips in and makes an attempt to play the ball as the defender is kicking it.
The attacker goes down as if hit by a sniper in the crowd and is awared a penalty.

How can it be a penalty if a) the defender couldn't even see the attacker and b) he's making a legitimate attempt to clear the ball without interfering with the attacker?

I'm on the attacker's side normally especially with VAR (his eyebrows were clearly offside) but I just don't understand how that is a penalty nearly every time. Been a long time since I played though 🙉
Attackers get the advantage these days, which they should. Always reward attacking play.

I really hope the Mulgrew signing works out mate. What worries me apart from his age is injuries and i think the recent one was an achilles which is brutal.
It does not surprise me he is delighted to be back as i'm sure he thought he was getting no better than a year from Partick Thistle.During his interview he mentioned Tam and said he was sitting there with his laptop and he just knows so much.
I actually thought he was speaking about me as i also know so much more when i have my laptop to hand, like how to spell achilles etc.

    Marshall
    Cooper Hanley Tierney
    Forrest Gilmour McTominay McGinn Robertson
    Adams Dykes

Patterson for Forrest is the only change I would make from that

Wouldn't complain with that midfield. Defence is anyone's game. Cooper being left footed may be an issue.

    My preference -

    Marshall
    Robertson Robertson Robertson Robertson
    Robertson Robertson Robertson Robertson
    Robertson Robertson
