We have at least created chances and loads more of them than Croatia against both the Czech's and the Pub Team.I think we have a wonderful opportunity to retire a whole midfield on Tuesday and with a bit of luck can score more than one and qualify from the group.
If we were a defensive minded side creating nothing i would agree we have no chance but at home against a team who have NEVER beaten us we at least have a chance.Don't get me wrong they do have some wonderful players but i think we will outrun them by miles in the midfield.

Unfortunately for us, goals scored is the second factor used to decide who goes through as third place teams if teams are tied on the same points and goal difference. If our strikers had an ounce of the footballing brain that Andy Robertson has we wouldn't have any concerns on that front.

Looking at the tables, I think we'll be very unlucky not to go through if we beat Croatia. It would take a few freak results for us to end up the fifth/sixth placed team.

It pisses me off that they’re still using head to head to differentiate between teams in a group. So basically we could beat Croatia 5-0 and the Czechs could get hammered by England and it would matter not a jot - we have no chance of overtaking them into second before a ball is even kicked. It’s a piece of nonsense. Fair enough if teams are tied on points and GD etc to then go to head to head but it should never be the first determinant for separating teams.

IF we are on 4 points i'm very confident we will qualify,its getting to 4 points that is the hard bit.

I agree GB, we can beat them but we need another top performance. If I have a worry it's the short recovery time, basically 3 days. The Wembley game might have taken a bit out of some legs.
The Croatia side are big strong guys in the main, but from what I've seen of them not much pace in dangerous areas.
When the chances come we need to finally nail one.
Would you start Nisbet in with Adams?
I worry we go long to Dykes too often.

Group B i reckon 3rd place will be on 3 points.In Group C a win for either Ukraine who i fancy or Austria would mean 3rd place finishes on 3 points unless they both play out a draw.Group E is tricky Spain need a win or they are out and Poland must beat Sweden(not easy) to get to 4 points anything less and they are out.Group F Portugal need a draw v France or they are out as i am certain the Germans will beat Hungary in Munich.
