    The journo's uncertainty about Glass, and the blandness of the signings is pretty much what I'm getting from Reds I've spoken with recently.

    It’s mostly the corporate speak* which bothers me.
    I don’t think I could cope with excuses in corporate speak.
    Or Americanisms for that matter.

    * Challenger brand……mutter mutter.

    I have a good track record in giving it a kicking in organisations where I held positions of middling influence. The same organisations where I used Ebbe’s mini-skirts quote, contrived to crowbar six or seven Elvis Costello album titles into a report on internal assessment verification*, and got a blatant Diana Rigg in The Avengers reference into a recommendation on a revised appeals process following the severe issues with the 2000 SQA exams results**.

    My son-in-law texted me live from a meeting at his place of work last week…
    “In my morning meeting. We've been joined by Head of HR... I've been told that 'the strategy for comms and cascade is in flight'. So that's alright then.”
    “ Apparently the organisational change piece is going to transform the landscape.”
    “ Oddly however the rollout of the values is going to really anchor what we do.”

    Lovely.

    * scant standards verification in this year’s results, and none at all in last year’s. Thank **** I’ll be deid by the time surgeons attaining A grade Higher Biology in 2020 or 2021 will be consulting the Ladybird Book of Humanoid In-timmers as some poor sap’s having colonic polyps excised.

    ** among the most strident and shrill of voices in Holyrood calling for the resignation of the Education Minister Dr Sam Galbraith was a certain Ms Nicola Sturgeon (she/her), list MSP for somewhere. Hmmmm.
