Apparently he is off to Hibs

Is that right or is that just an assumption based on recent form of anyone we're interested in signing ends up at Hibs?

Pretty poor, although not surprising, when we spend weeks talking about the only signing we're linked with and then it falls through.

I get what people are saying about contracts officially ending today and maybe we'll see some movement now, but why then have other teams managed to make ump**** signings? Kilmarnock have made at least 5. St Mirren Have been busy with 3 or 4 already in the door…

As long as we get the right players in I don't care if they sign on 1 June or 1 August. No point in signing a half dozen players just for the sake of getting someone signed early

BBC reporting St Mirren signing Greg Kiltie, Curtis Main and Scott Tanser on the 7th June - that's more than 3 weeks ago. And they signed Charles Dunne before that. So I'm not buying this as a reason why we haven't done any business yet.

Bizarre. I don't see anyone suggesting we should be signing half a dozen players for the sake of it.

What many see is a squad that's light on quality and no additions to it while other clubs are getting business done.

And a potential signing presumably leaked to please the fans and that has backfired spectacularly.

All I'm saying is I'm not panicking at the moment about the lack of signings. If we have to wait another 3 weeks to get a Fuchs level signing, then that's ok with me. I'd rather have that than sign an Emil Lynd (was that his name?) on 31 May

aye defo, if player contracts end today and season starts in a matter of weeks, can we afford to wait on his deciding if our offer is good enough or not?

We should have had our signings sorted long before now... we should have had targets etc sorted as soon as we were safe last season. We are going to end up parading a Shankland 1 yr extension like we have had a great transfer window!

Not panicing yet...but the lack of transfer activity is worrying when there is not a single fan who hasn't pinpointed our needs months ago.

If we don't get the right people in and we get fed the usual " United are in for (insert name of a player that has no chance of signing) before they sign for someone else and we are left discussing that you can get some great loan deals done after the window closes.

Our owner and his staff need to be trying to calm our fans fears with the new management team they have picked....and getting some players in for the positions that are so obviously lacking in, is the very minimum that I would expect.
