To make an informed decision on how to vote on any particular issue, all relevant information is required and I’m sure that for the majority of the public, all the relevant information is either not readily available or not available at all. Trade deals, for example, are notoriously complex matters and the consequences of causing changes to them by voting for certain issues are probably not going to be realised by most people, not necessarily because they are too stupid but because it would take too much time to go through all the details.
And now a shortage of Haribo sweets is being blamed on Brexit.
Whatever next.
Most people in most countries must be stupid then - take the love in for Macron and Trump. I certainly wouldn't bet on Trump being President again as half of the country love him - when things go wrong for Biden as the pandemic caused damage to Trump, even more people will be backing Trump. I can't stand the guy but yet he gets 75 million votes which is more than our population by far!
I could not be bothered to even vote. We have Boris who helped cause the virus spread from the start with the Races & Liverpool match - not learning his lesson he didn't stop the Indian flights because of the obvious outcry, and he had no balls to sack Cummings or Hancock. They are all corrupt and rotten to the core.
Then you have the nutter years ( Corbyn ) and now Starmer who is yet to find anything original. My God!
We are doomed!
As for the Green Party - so many hypocrites on this subject matter! Take Amazon - those w ankers don't pay their fair share of tax and will they be taken to task for massive dumping of products! Will they hell! Meanwhile a little plumber will lose his house for fiddling a few quid on his VAT return but yet the big boys get away with everything!
