    ENGLAND 2-0 GERMANY

Wow, we've finally done it and have taken a certain monkey off our backs here lol.
We have finally beat Germany when it really matters, in a knock-out tournament game, rather than in a friendly or a tournament group match etc. It looked like a really disappointing defensive set up originally by Gareth to be honest, but the result sticks up for it, and to be honest is wasn't a defensive performance actually.
Well done lads, we're into the Quarter finals, away in Italy/Rome of all places lol.

    Quarter Final

    ITALY 1-0 BELGIUM

Another big team to go out here, and it was credit again to Italy for largely keeping out Belgium's main threats. Some fans were suggesting Italy still hadn't been tested yet at this point, but they had a tricky half of the draw and had still come through mostly untested.

    Quarter Final

    SPAIN 1-1 SWITZERLAND
After extra time, Spain win on penalties

Spain just edged it here on pens when the Swiss failed to score theirs, and they didn't look as good this time as they had done when beating France, also on pens. Spain meet Italy now in the Semis, and they have had some good matches over the years.

    Quarter Final

    DENAMRK 2-1 CZECH REPUBLIC

What an absolute farce here as this Quarter final match was played in a neutral country miles away, a country who hadn't even qualified and weren't playing in the tournament to begin with. This was unfair to both teams and both sets of supporters. Denmark edged it here anyway after making a good start, and they are through to a Semi final at Wembley.

    Quarter Final

    ENGLAND 4-0 UKRAINE

Well where did that come from ehh, what a good start and what a comfortable match as it turned out to be in the end.
The questions will be asked of course as to how Ukraine even got this far, but that's not our fault is it, and it was a shame that we settled on 4 in the end. There are harder more important game/s ahead.
It felt weird not seeing them at Wembley again, but it had a touch of Italia '90 about it seeing as it was in Rome.
Now we know it's Denmark at Wembley in the Semi final, and they will be a tougher test.

    Semi Final

    ITALY 1-1 SPAIN
After extra time, Italy win on penalties

What a match and what a cracking atmosphere here at Wembley, and in the end Spain can think they were more than a bit unlucky after coming back into this match. But they were taken to pens again and that amazing run and the luck that is obviously needed on pens can only go so far. Credit once again to the Italy team for holding their nerves again when it mattered. Now they are in the Final.

    Semi Final

    ENGLAND 2-1 DENMARK
    After extra time

What a nervy tough match this was and thankfully we didn't make the mistake of under estimating the Danes, as they were slowly getting better and gaining confidence at the right time, just like we were in a way. What a great free kick that gave them the lead, was that the first and only direct free kick goal of the tournament ?.
We hit back just when it mattered though and in the end it came down to a difficult penalty decision in extra time.
The contact on Sterling was minimal but it was made by two defenders, and I can see why it was given. I'd have hated to see it given against us though put it that way. And Kane missed it didn't he, apart from scoring the rebound!!.
So onto our first ever Euro's Final, it was always going to be a nervy occasion, as the ever tough Italians were waiting!.
