Maguire plays for who was a decent pen

Could cause a stir and say the respect thing came back to bite you. Rice was super and he took him off for that Henderson woahh he brought on Jack when the game was done and then he brings in specialist penalty takers my arse. Southgate got you to the final and lost it also.
I agree with WTF Pickford didn't deserve this.

Don't England play awful Football under Southgate.
    Bores the tits off me.

Best team won on the night but for me Spain must be kicking themselves they should have put the Italians away easily.

Safegate has got England to a World Cup Semi final and now a Euro's final but I am pretty certain we won't win jack sh1t with him in charge.

I refer you all to my post #41. If I can see it, why the **** can't Southgate, and wtf were those who had played next to f00k all football in the game brought on to take penalties, doesn't "warm up" play any part in Southgates vocabulary? Useless, absolutely f00king useless, lions led by donkeys.

    Disappointed but not surprised.
Unfortunately it’s negative mentality to sit on an early lead. It's a bygone age football style that Bielsa would never allow Leeds to play but the Southgate safety first fear tactic won't get us results in world football - best team in the tournament won with players full of determination and confidence throughout.

If you cannot perform in a final with a home crowd then maybe you should spend less time in the tattoo parlours and more time learning the basic 'art' of becoming a complete footballer.

The best is yet to come some say - best is not good enough as a champion has the courage to risk failure.Champions train their thought processes as well as their body to produce a total approach to performance - That's a Bielsa quote by the way !

Agree Toty worst thing in football is scoring so early gives the other team so much time to settle and get back in the game. Say England scored in the 60th minute would have been a different game as the Italians would have been panicking. Saying that selections lost you the game.

I don’t think he would’ve ducked the responsibility, but I’m glad Kalvin wasn’t in the frame to (potentially) miss a penalty. It would’ve crushed the lad.

I can remember all of the penalties I’ve missed (and scored/saved!) and I’m still totally irritated by one where I hit the post during normal time in a semifinal even though we did still get through to the final. Not even a meaningless semi-pro game!

Rashford, Sancho and Saka will always have the ghosts of these penalties. Too bad.

I can sympathise with Saka and Sancho but Rashford spent too long showboating, a case of wrong place wrong time
