We have better players now, much better. I don't think anyone could have won anything with previous squads

People are talking about we can do really well in the World Cup but football doesn't work like that.
We were at home, we had no real injury problems and there were no outstanding teams to beat. Italy were very good but not outstanding and were there to be beaten. Plus we didn't have contend with the South American teams

Huge chance missed which might not come around again in a long, long time

Yes clearly Rice, Phillips, Saka and Mount are better than Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham and Scholes.

So who would we get then?

Man City manager, Leeds Manager, Klop,

None of these are ever gonna be interested.

Remember Coppelo and Sven supposed top managers.

We’ve reached a semi final and now a final.

    Still gutted
The trouble with Southgate is that he's a whitey-beardey-emotionally intelligent-bloke. Time to go!

Hang on...should I have posted that on the Warney thread?

I was thinking the same; woke, "nice guys", tactically limited.

    Lacking the killer instinct

Won’t be long before he’s building the “Qatar is hot” excuse into his ramblings

( Southgate, not Warne, though you never know)
