    In general, if there’s a cancer you’d choose as a middle aged bloke it would be none at all of course but the success rate with testicular cancer is amazing these days.

    I know lads who’ve had this in their 40’s and 20 years on are as fit as fiddles and I’m sure the same outcome will happen here.

    The fortunate thing about being involved in sport and around a football club is that it’s very likely to have been spotted at a very early stage.

    Best of luck to a bloke who had to suffer a very early end to a promising career and made a very good job of that.
