IF a lot of the young lads play again at the weekend it will be a much sterner test for them but that's a good thing.

Glad Freeman got that goal, and was shouting for Reynolds to score, then Duffy right after that! Ive heard its only Elgin, but that is what we should have been doing to teams in this competition. Different test on Saturday, then its the plastic at East Fife to look forward to and i dont want to see too many changes from that starting line up.

Chris Mochrie the best kid I've seen since the twice we were allowed to see Scott Banks. He is going to be VERY good.

Great to see all these young lads in particular playing so well. Some of the passing and movement was a joy to watch.

Early days but much more positive after that. Still need the appropriate signings for the league obviously.

Keep this up against the Arbrothians on Saturday.
You have to take the quality of the opposition into account but that's only the second time in a competitive game for about 2 years where we played with patience control, good ball retention and cutting edge.
Great to watch. Freeman in particular stood out, he's been patient, done his loan and he looks a classy player.
But they all did well tonight.
Mini Messi no bad either 😁

Apart from first 10mins or so. Solid performance. Opposition aside some quality passing and movement. Freeman was very good always wanting the ball, always wanting to get forward and put a some quality balls into box. All the young lads played well. Shanks and Clark teamed up well and pawlett and Fuchs did well in midfield. Overall good performance. If shanks Edwards and poss benji stay a minimum of 2/3 signings and we shld be fine.

Great to watch the confidence build and see the team express themselves. Some rustiness still defensively to start with but what was obvious tonight was how high and wide our fullbacks/wingbacks stayed. A back 3 can work when executed well!

Genuinely exciting to see some of those kids playing so freely. What was also good to watch was how well Shankland, Clark and indeed Pawlett linked up.

Quality of opposition etc. etc. but was a far cry from turgid league cup games in years gone by.

Yes the next two are a step up, i like how the fixtures have panned out for us to build towards the league start, Arbroath will show us a bit more how we are looking and give much more of a challenge
