Tam keeps saying what he has been told to say which is,"He remains an employee of the club."Now we all know he will never work at Tannadice under the current regime so negotiations must be ongoing to settle his contract.

If we're going with 3 at the back then I can't see us signing any wingers tbh. The focus there has to be the full backs. Smith and Robson are both poor going forward and we'll struggle offensively if we're relying on them to work the channels and create chances. By all accounts it seems like Freeman has played the wing back role better than Smith while Duffy is already being touted as potentially better than Robson. A creative midfielder is a must however. We have Mochrie but is he ready to be the main man in that role? Or does Courts see his best position as further forward?

A physical striker to give us a bit of edge, and a different option up front would be good. Looking at how we have played so far, I can see how the St Mirren lad that went to Hibs would have been targeted, similar position to Butcher by all accounts but better on the ball, would have been good to build through and take pressure off the defence.

I think its Freemans position to lose now - was the right decision to give smith game time though. Will see but hard on Freeman and not a great message if he doesnt start at Aberdeen

If so, good and if its TC wanting his own team - good! Give him the chance. Best football ive seen for a while kids in the frame all pre season but im feeling positive here. As i said Tony replied to a fairly aggressive message from me, was kind and made me feel a little passive aggressive but he did it and seems passionate about our direction. If every signing is like Mulgrew we are ok. 2 signings next week. Thats from horses mouth, not done and dusted but close.

No im not on payroll for marketing. Yes i knew many employees at united over last 40 years. Yes im now in contact with some senior figure at united. Yes i feel positive now. No i dont know names and wont ask. Yes they know i post on here. Tony has his agenda - personally i think we are in good hands here. His sons inclusion wasnt his idea btw - he didnt want the sh!t storm motherwell wanted him. I have no idea what his role is but he is first team now. worrying? maybe worth a shot - definately.

maybe im a happy clapper zoomer type easily led. But ive 40 plus years been involved with club at various levels mainly as a fan with relatives involved. They are well aware of the divisions but refuse to see it as a diversion.

Future is brighter than many think. Orgen wants this t be a success.

Good post mate. I’m kinda in this camp too. I think the speed in which everything changed caught many of us out. But I have to say I have enjoyed the football the last couple of games, and as I have mentioned before I have no doubt there is plenty of work going on regarding new signings. I don’t think we are in as bad a position as some appear to think. TC has got his own team in and I for one will be right behind him. Like I have always been with every newly appointed manger. I don’t intend to criticise or buy into any negativity. New season round the corner and we have all but qualified from the group with a team that was essentially the same as last season where we struggled. For me TC appears to be doing something right at this stage. Time will tell. But for now COME ON UNITED!

I never enjoyed the Kelty game at all,i enjoyed most of the Elgin game and yesterday it was 50/50 its funny how we all see the same games so differently.
I will be over the moon if i'm saying the exact same as the above after our first three league games but to be honest to say there are worries is an understatement.
Fair play to Tam so far as the actual results go because i fully expect us to beat East Fife this week which would give us maximum points in our group and exceed my expectations before a ball was kicked.

I think Peter has got me over an FN barrel with his proposed bet mate,i respect your opinion(honest) who do you think i should pick to out assist The Groin Stroker?, 1 am really struggling unless we make a marquee creative signing.
