    It really is unfair. As you say Brian, teams are trying out kids, different formations, fringe players etc etc. Basically pre season games but also a national cup competition. We keep hearing about teams down south devaluing the league cup by playing weakened teams but our very own SPFL are devaluing their own cup competition by having it played pre-season.

    In a way mate I kind of like it I have always thought friendlies are a waste of time.Like the league cup sections as really we should although don't always qualify and gives players good game time but not so hard a premier class kind of easy way into league matchs.It's kind of up to each team how serious they take it but should help tam seeing players in compeditive matchs.On the other hand agree with you we are devaluing the cup by playing weakened teams so am kind of split on it.
