I agree, he’d be a stop gap or end up back up, and given he’s spent huge chunk of his career not getting regular games until now, that would be a bad career move. Think he is around 28-29, so still fairly young for a goalie, but should really have about 300+ games behind him now. Another season of regular first team football best for his development.
Probably right but that’s the kind of signing I would like to see, three year deal and we’ll build the team around you, would give all the young lads a lift and show the rest of the teams that United’s back doing things right. Been too much talk recently about being a selling club, and while I understand the need for that it shouldn’t be the be all and end all of our club. Building a team is what’s important, a team that wins matches hopefully with a bit of style too, that’s what makes people sit up and take notice of our players.
As much as I've been positive with the new management team and looking forward to lots of the young lads breaking through i must say I'm really disappointed in the lack of signings.
I think Courts has something about him and he could do well but we have to back him and give him a couple of signings. Someone to replace Mcnulty should be an absolute minimum.
Hopefully we are holding out for a couple of top quality players. That may eat a little bit into the season before we see that happen.
Yeah mate agree with that have made couple of signings hoping that they have something going on behind the scenes and are holding out for decent players even on loan. Some times takes a bit of time to get the right guys in players might be holding out to see their best options and weighing up those options.Would be great in perfect world if we were first choice club for every player and we could just sign anyone we want don't think it works like that though so as you say may take a bit of time to get right guys in.
Bannon & Brian. That's far too much common sense for a football forum.
So....The best scenario we don't need reminded about. 10 points fom our first 5 games?
But....The worst scenario? 4 points from our first 11 games.
Not sure if there is any truth to this but i have heard that Tony has informed someone from the prawn sandwich brigade that the club are active in the transfer market and its not a smokescreen.
