Losing Robson won't weaken us. He's a bang average bottom six defender at best who really isn't getting any better. How many goals did he single handedly flog last season? Probably more than anyone else. I'll actually be glad if he moves. I think he's really hindered us in an attacking sense on that left hand side. Let's get someone in who can actually play the wing back role, can deliver a cross and defend a set piece without losing concentration.

Robson has not been involved even in games he has played in. We will defo not be any weaker if he ain't playing. He isn't sh*te, but the fact he has been our regular left back for so long, and we have been destroyed down that flank so many times, so easily, tells it's own story. Teams were openly targeting that position on a regular basis. (free cross in to the box)

The fact he has played so many games for us just shows how weak we have been in that area.

Don't want to knock him too much, hope he gets a great move and has a long career, he can do a job, but not at this level.

That's grotesquely unfair. Name those goals then. I think Robson has improved massively from having to play alongside the likes of Durnan, Donaldson, Edjungele and (shudder) Quinn. He's not the greatest but nor did he have a bad season last year either. Connelly for one was personally responsible for more concessions than Jamie was. If we're getting 200-250k for him then yes that's a good deal. But I'm certainly not going to chuck him under a bus. Rather, I will thank him for his service, his transfer fee and the very best for the future. Arabest Jamie - God Speed.🙂

Few good points there James, but there is a perfect time to move for any player, and IMO for Jamie, the time is now.

There's the first one that springs to mind. Mark your man and he doesn't win the header, but no, Robson goes for a wee wander and Watts left with a free header.

Any more? I can name Connolly v St Johnstone, Killie, Motherwell and Celtic immediately straight off the top of my head before I even research any further. 250k for Robson is a no brainer I don't disagree. But i refuse to chuck him under a bus.

I think there's is no doubt it weakens us, Duffy is nowhere near Robsons level just now, Freeman isn't either as a full back anyway at the moment, although has showed up well at wingback albeit against weaker oppo but can't say I'm sold on him

Unfortunately we won't be playing four at the back so we might not notice it so much, I do like Sporle but not defensively as a left back more as he offers something different in in attack

We will need a left back in more for sure

As for Robson, good luck to him, sad to see him go as been a good servant and very steady and reliable overall, made the step up well and would have continued to be a solid player for us, fair play to him for getting the head down and improving as has always had his critics, done us well with think 150 ish appearances, was part of the promotion winning side and the derby destructions
