From what purslow said it kinda sounded to me like they knew Jack might go and the 3 players he mentioned, buandia, ings n Bailey will between them fill jacks shoes..

But all that said Dya think we will sign anyone else ? Cantwell has been mentioned n tbh he’s a very good young player but personally I think Norwich will want stupid money now we’ve sold Jack for 100 mil, also maybe a bigger bid for wars prowse? Think they will want 50 mil tbh, but when you think Arsenal just paid 50 mil for white it doesn’t seem so out of place

Maybe one more midfielder but Cantwell? For me its A no. Well this season anyway and certainly not for the silly money being quoted. He is in the final year of hes contract so 25 mill at best but I would wait till next year, see what kind of season he has and get him on a free next year, we could actually buy him and Loan him back win win situation?

Tuanzebe on loan for the season looks a possibility - a lot of fans saying we still need to add to the midfield as Nakamba is our only "proper" DM.

Ward-Prowse was reportedly what Jack wanted so our bid of £25M was I think a smokescreen when it wasn't a done deal that he was leaving. If we were to sign him where does that leave Sanson/SJM and Dougie?

Wes/Hourihane/Ramsey to go out on loan?

Cant see Tuanzebe unless its a cheap buy for cover, he hasnt exactly torn it up for the Mancs since he went back, I do think we need someone to cover/challenge our central defensive partnership, Hause is good for basic defensive cover, but he doesnt have the same level of passing and movement skills as them. I think centre mid will sort itself out now Naka as holding if we are playing that way and any two from the other 3 in front of him, I think both SJM and Douggie are better moving the ball forward, and they now have choices to play the ball to, the future is bright.
